Our Commitment
Navigant Advisory Group is an education-first, Black women-owned and operated firm. We started this company to lift the legacy people leave behind.
People saved this money on purpose, out of a paycheck, for the people they love. Too often it never reaches them. The participant moved, changed jobs, changed their name, or died, and the record never caught up.
We founded this firm in 2004 to close that gap. These are the commitments we hold ourselves to, published so they can be measured against what we actually do.
1.To teach in plain language.
Every workshop, document and conversation is written to be understood the first time, by someone who has never been told how a retirement plan works.
2.To serve participants at every balance level.
The person with a few hundred dollars in a plan receives the same quality of education as the person with hundreds of thousands. Most resources are built for the larger account. We build for both.
3.To find the people plans lose track of.
We locate missing participants and reunite them with dormant balances: accounts belonging to people who moved, changed jobs, changed their name or died, sometimes unclaimed for decades while the beneficiaries never learned the money was there.
4.To advocate for the fix, not only the cleanup.
Finding people one at a time is not a system. Congress should establish a locate-and-notify standard: after five years without contact, a balance transfers to abandoned property, and only after a documented effort to locate and notify the participant or their beneficiaries. We will say this publicly.
5.To build a team that reflects the communities we serve.
We hire for judgment and lived experience alongside credentials, and we make room for people whose path into this industry did not begin at a large firm.
6.To treat education as a benefit our own team receives.
Every team member has access to the same education we build for clients, including one-on-one time on their own retirement, debt and savings.
7.To share what we learn rather than gatekeep it.
We explain how this industry works, the rules, the process and the vocabulary, so people can act on their own behalf.
8.To be useful, not indispensable.
We want you to leave every conversation knowing more than you did and owing us nothing. Education that creates dependence is not education. We hand over what we know and expect you to use it. What you decide stays yours.
